INSURERS MUST COVER BREAST SCREENING AND DIAGNOSTICS WITH NO COST-SHARING
The Find It Early Act will ensure that women never have to compromise their breast health—or their lives—because they cannot afford critical screening and early detection services. This act will ensure all health insurance plans cover screening and diagnostic breast imaging with no cost-sharing. That includes mammograms, ultrasounds, and breast ultrasounds, and MRIs. This coverage, which would benefit patients with dense breasts and other risk factors for breast cancer, would apply to patients insured under both private health plans and government-issued plans like Medicare and TRICARE.
