As a 45-year-old with cognitive disabilities, Beth depends on her sister for daily care. When Beth's physician found a suspicious breast lesion, he recommended a biopsy. However, as Beth is uninsured and unemployed, she could not afford the test. Her sister tried applying for funding through various programs, but to no avail.
